JOIN OUR  TEAM— Be a part of a dynamic and impactful team for one of the fastest growing communities in the region. The Library Director manages, directs, and provides leadership for the administration, finances, and efficient operation of all aspects of the South Burlington Public Library.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO: As the Library Director, you will:

• Direct and manage all aspects of library administration and operations. Engage the public and promote the library and its programs in the community. 
• Ensure all community members see themselves reflected in the collections and services of the library. Lead efforts to eliminate barriers that limit access to programs, services, and collections.
• Conduct short and long-term library planning in collaboration with the City Manager, Library Trustees, City Council, and the community.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Master’s degree in library science or a related field required; A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in library planning and management, five of which must have been in a supervisory role, preferably in a municipal setting, required. An equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered.

SALARY RANGE: $97,000 - $104,000 Annually
