Due to a retirement, the RPL is seeking an enthusiastic and flexible librarian to focus on adult services and innovative outreach initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for creating an inclusive library experience for adults and teens, bringing library resources beyond our building through our RPL on Wheels book bike program, and supporting community partnerships.
You will plan and implement engaging adult programming, coordinate community outreach events, assist patrons with reference and readers' advisory services, curate compelling collections, and promote library services throughout Reading. We are looking for a self-starter with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. The ability to build collaborative relationships with community organizations, local businesses, and town departments is also essential.
