Librarian I - Adult Services

Due to a recent retirement, Reading Public Library (Reading, MA) is hiring a full-time Reference and Adult Services Librarian.

Are you passionate about community engagement and ready to join a dynamic team? The Reading Public Library seeks an enthusiastic and adaptable Librarian to plan and implement engaging adult programming, coordinate community outreach initiatives, provide reference and readers' advisory services, and develop inclusive collections. We're looking for a self-starter with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills who thrives in collaborative environments and demonstrates genuine enthusiasm for public service.

This non-exempt 32.5-hour-a-week position includes one evening per week and a Saturday rotation, and is eligible for Sunday hours at a 1.5 OT rate. Full benefits and ample professional development opportunities are included. Expected hiring range: $31.67-$33.95 per hour.
