Description:  Cape Libraries Automated Materials Sharing (CLAMS) invites an innovative, multitalented library professional to lead a dynamic consortium as its next Executive Director. CLAMS is an independent non-profit organization with 6 employees, and serves its 35 member libraries through management of the open-source ILS Koha, ebook and database acquisition, training, and IT assistance. CLAMS members include 34 public libraries and 1 academic library across beautiful Cape Cod and the islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard.

The Executive Director will excel in a multitude of diverse roles to identify and meet the needs of the network members. As chief operating officer, the Executive Director is responsible for supervising CLAMS’ professional staff, managing the network budget, financial and operational planning, providing leadership, and proposing future directions for CLAMS.

The Executive Director maintains communications with member libraries and users, serving as contact person and working with CLAMS members through the Executive Board, Membership Meetings, and other committee meetings. The Executive Director reports to the CLAMS Executive Board.

Salary range: $110,049 – $133,891 commensurate with experience.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience in the business of running a non-profit organization, with a passion for providing library services at the network level.

In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate superior skills in the following areas:

● Organization and communication, especially in regards to leading a remote workforce

● Strategic planning and implementation; be forward-thinking and open to evolution

● Technologically fluent, especially in regards to library administration and operations

● Grant acquisition and budget management

● Library advocacy at the local, regional, or state level
