Founded in 1937, Clark Memorial Library is the public association library serving Bethany, Connecticut. Governed by the non-profit Bethany Library Association and a Board of Directors, the mission of the Library is to serve the community and promote reading and learning for residents of all ages. The Library Director is charged with achieving this mission through the ongoing development and support of a library responsive to our community’s needs for information, education, and recreation. Through collaboration with the governing Board of Directors, the Library Director develops programs and policies, monitors patron services, oversees finance and operations, including the physical facility and human resources encompassing hiring, training and supervision of staff while serving as the public face of the library. Compensation and benefits: This is a full-time salaried position (37 hours a week) with a flexible schedule and 25 days annual leave along with 3 personal days. Salary range of $80,000 - $85,000. Within the salary range, the successful candidate will be paid commensurate with experience. Benefits stipend in lieu of medical insurance and retirement benefits.
